This dome has been designed by the renowned architectural Ateliers Jean Nouvel. LUCERGLASS has developed an spectacular vaulted dome multilayer in a library building in Cyprus. It has 48 meters diameter. The mixture with light and shade is one of the main quality of Jean Nouvel’s projects. The structure is completely water and air tight, and provides efficient lighting to the interior of the library. Based on a solar algorithm which orientates the heliostat and rotates the installed solar louvers in small steps, light is guided to the library accordingly and optimizes optical comfort. In this project, different polygonal glass roofs are built with HIBERLUX profiles. The total area covers 1.500 m2. Facing of the dome has molten aluminium hexagonal pieces. A Ferrari Batyline AW acoustic membrane is placed on the roof to make a blur of light. Triple glazing of high performance.
SPANISH MANUFACTURING AND ENGINEERING
Manufacturing and engineering are being developing in Spain. Lucerglass Engineers Department is high qualified to work in this kind of projects. Molten aluminium hexagonal pieces, steel structure and acustic membrane panels are made in Spain.
