THE HIGHEST EXTERIOR GLASS CINEMA OF THE WORLD
Sony Entertainment firm has signed a contract with the spanish skylight company Lucerglass to build the highest exterior glass cinema of the world. The measurements of the same one are 10,30 m * 8,40 m * 5,00 m and it is situated on Torre Picasso’s roof, in the main street of Paseo de la Castellana, in Madrid (Spain).
This project is a big glass cinema for the first release of the film “The Walk”. This glass hall is in the heliport of Torre Picasso, at 157 meters high and 45 floors. The architect of this project is Minoru Yamasaki. He was Torres Gemelas’ architect too. The glass room has a capacity of 50 people. So there will be only private pass to this movie.
Walls and roof are made of glass, so that creates a fantastic panoramic view.
Spectators will be able to see the movie in that place once in a lifetime. Their emotions will be similar to what Philippe Petit felt in his real dream.
This glass cinema has been carefully studied to support the wind pressure and suction from that height.
